Natalia Carlson is a Lighting Designer and Assistant Lighting Designer based in New York. She found her passion for lighting in high school and has never looked back. She earned a BFA in Lighting Design and Technology from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music with a Minor in German Studies. In 2023 she was the Hemsley Lighting Intern and worked at the San Francisco Opera, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and New York City Ballet. Outside of work she enjoys traveling and spending time in nature.

Currently Natalia is working as the Assistant Lighting Director for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and the Associate Lighting Director for the Cincinnati Opera.

Recent works include The Boheme Project, a production of Rent and La Boheme produced by The Atlanta Opera at Pullman Yards as well as The Magic Flute at The Atlanta Opera.
